With the popularity of UA-cam and the plethora of videos showing steel cables breaking when lifting heavy machinery, I am astounded at the amount of time in this video there were workers under suspended loads.

I agree with getting away from numbers as a name. These boats, especially Bering, deserve an epic name.

So after putting it out there for all, Miss Self centred was always going to name it - treat people like morons. Shame, shame, shame - people deserve more respect than the click and consequently the fame that you deserve!!!

Interesting video, the ownership of a boat, as anything else depends you and requirements. I do not need a license to own a boat in my state, insurance set aside. Numbers of the length of a boat is same as a camper, rv or a vehicle, they are companies model control. My 30 meter in Italy does not mean 98.42 ft.

It's good to see how a boat is built, and it's really good to see just how well built Alexei's boats are. I'm very impressed to the point!... that as far as I'm concerned! I am now required to buy a Bering Yacht under the long standing Maritime's Motto of... "I ain't dying on the freakin water!" You can tell Alexei that it's your fault I'm not going to be buying a competitor's boat that you guys did a tour of, and I "thought" I wanted! No thank you!!!! I don't know how well they build their boats ! And I ain't gunna <--- slang for "going to"... take a chance and find out! After watching a life time full of documentaries on the Oceans. I do know the most important thing about being on them. Ya better have a well built rock solid boat under your ass if your going to be in water deeper than 6 feet with crazy currents and big sharp toothed brainless animals. Those welds look absolutely fucking BEAUTIFUL. And I don't just mean functionally. That's racecar rollcage levels of stacking dimes, but on plate steel that makes DOM 0.095" tube look like a child's toy LOL. AND they have to be crack inspected every time, too. That's master-level welding right there.

4:40 an important point to make: this is ONLY true for marine-grade aluminum. The type of filler rod you use for marine welding is different. This doesn't apply to regular automotive sheetmetal because the thickness is different, for one thing, but also the alloys used have drastically different properties.

Now I understand why K-Array speakers are so good - they're not even using cast aluminum like Genelec does (and they're the best of the best in studio-quality reference audio), they're using BILLET CNC frames. That not only reduces heat buildup, it also reduces resonances and weird harmonics that can cause fatigue and boominess.
